My name is Stanley Etheridge and I am from a neighborhood called Mariner's Harbor which is located in Staten Island, NY. I started playing basketball at the age of 11 when I attended an Elementary School named St. John's Lutheran. I've been in love with the sport ever since.
I continued to play basketball for St. Peter's Boys HS where I maintained a successful career. I also competed in tournaments against some of the top players throughout NYC and Jersey. Following HS I played very little on the collegiate level for FDU-Madison and the College of Staten Island.
After my completion of college I chose to pursue a teaching/coaching career. Presently I am employed by the Department of Education as a paraprofessional and I am the assistant Coach at Port Richmond HS for both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. I am also proud to note that I host a well known SI tournament in the Mariner's Harbor community called the "Rumble in the Jungle" which has served as a positive learning tool for the local neighborhoods.
